The Lauren Corporation Annual Scholarship

The Lauren Corporation has established a scholarship in memory of James L. Skidmore (1992) and Ben Malek (1995) - employees who gave so much of themselves to the company and their communities. In 2006, Phyllis Milne was added to this distinguished list in honor of the lasting impression Mrs. Milne made on countless lives throughout the company.

The intention of this scholarship is to help further the educational goals of student who are committed to working and studying hard to achieve their goals. The Scholarship fund is $2,000 for all of The Lauren Corporation business units, with the exception of Lauren Engineers & Constructors (USA). The scholarship will be $3,000 for the LEC winner. Each scholarship will be awarded to a single recipient, based solely on the content of the application.

The scholarship will be awarded annually. A new application must be submitted each academic year to be eligible to receive future scholarships. The scholarship The Scholarship Selection Committee will choose this individual, and will base their decision on the following items:

• Eligibility and Qualifications
• Description of Personal and Career Goals
• Essay on "Why You Should Be Our Choice"

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, May 25, 2007. The decision will be made by Friday, June 1, 2007. All applicants will be notified by letter.
