Lauren Continues its Tradition of Promoting Excellence in Education

Since 1992, Lauren Engineers & Constructors has been offering annual scholarships to assist students who are seeking a degree in engineerining, constrution or a related field. This year, Lauren expanded the sholarship fund to $10,000.

The $10,000 scholarhsip was awarded to four recipients in the following amounts: one $4,000 scholarship, one $3,000 scholarship, two $1,500 scholarships.  The Scholarship awards, whose selection was bassed on competitve essays, were awarded to students at the following universities: University of Oklahoma, Texas A&M University, California State University, and Tarleton State University.

Details of the history of the scholarship fund are as follows:
Lauren established the James L. Skidmore Memorial Scholarship in 1992 and the Ben Malek Memorial Scholarship in 2005 to honor these past employees who gave so much of themselves to the Company and their communities.   In 2006, the Phyllis Milne Memorial Scholarship was added to honor the lasting impression Mrs. Milne made on countless lives throughout the company. The intention of these scholarships is to help further the educational goals of students who are committed to working and studying hard to achieve their goals.
